5 Tips For Feeling Better

5 Tips For Feeling Better

  1. Have gratitude for the things that you do have.

Rather than focusing on what other people have that you do not have, focus on the things that you actually do have yourself. If you happen to have a jar with loose change in it someplace in your house, then you are more wealthy already than most people in the world.

Develop gratitude for all of the things that you do have. If you practice being grateful and thankful for everything in your life, both small and large. This will prevent you from being jealous of people who have more than you. Every day, try listing five things at least that you are grateful to have in your life. Get in a habit of doing this every day and you will start to see positive results.

  1. Acknowledge that life is not always fair.

Life is not intended to be fair. When humans are born, they are not dealt with a fair and equal hand. Instead, everybody is born with struggles of their own and into their own unique circumstances.

As soon as you are able to accept the fact that life is not fair, you will quit wasting energy and time on wishing things were different. Simply let go of all of your frustration and anger that you feel whenever you encounter struggles and hardships. Focus instead on the things that you can learn from experiencing hard times.

  1. Commit to only competing with yourself.

There are always going to people who are more successful, who has more money and is more attractive than you are. Stop comparing yourself with other people. Your situation is not going to change by looking at others with envy.

You are the only one you need to compete with. Aim to improve the person you are right now with who you were a year ago or yesterday. It is the only way that you can accurately track your progress.

  1. Change the things you can and then accept the things that you cannot.

Create a plan for changing things that you can control and then accept the things you cannot change yourself. You might have the ability to lose 10 pounds, but your genetic makeup might not allow you to become the best bodybuilder in the world. Focus on the things that you can control and then give up attempting to change what is impossible to do.

  1. Set clear goals for yourself.

Experiencing some success is one of the best things you can to feel positive. Establish some obtainable and clear goals. Then come up with the action steps that are necessary to help you achieve the goals that you have set.

Consider goals that will help to improve your relationships, your social life, your finances, or your health. Determine the things you can do to improve things and come up with a timeline. That will help to increase the chances of you really making the changes.
